Operations Manager, DSD
Location/Department: Quebec – Laval | 1487 Berlier, Laval, QC
Job Description:
The Operations Manager, DSD will oversee the daily operations for Quebec’s Supply Chain; factory, warehouse and fleet. The Operations Manager, DSD will ensure that functional supervisors maintain standards set by the company (Food Safety, Health & Safety, Quality Assurance) and that the Supervisors maintain optimized material and labour plans to support daily operations. The incumbent’s responsibilities include but are not limited ensure daily planning for success for Quebec Supply Chain Operations – Factory, Warehouse, and Third Party Distributors including: variance detection and coaching functional leaders for course correction; improve manpower utilization within existing departments and processes; and schedule stability that allows for maximum return on efficiencies. Supervise quality standards and enforce quality-control programs. Ensure Processing Facility HACCP compliance. Continually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and teammates safety attitudes. Maintain and improve housekeeping in all areas. Lead and develop teams that consistently meet or exceed production goals including hiring, training, coaching, teammates in all areas.

Qualifications:
Experience in managing warehouse and distribution operations is required. Experience in managing production operations and knowledge regarding manufacturing and employment regulations, policies, practices, and procedures would be an asset. History of working with a high performance team in a highly detailed, operational environment. Knowledge of industry principles such as lean manufacturing and six sigma methodologies an asset. Demonstrated leadership ability. Bilingual (French and English).
